Chicken Dumpling Soup

Ingredients: (serves 4)
  • 1.5 litres of chicken stock
  • 50 grams pearl barley
  • 12 chicken dumplings
  • 2 large carrots
  • 1 chopped chili pepper
  • 1 tsp grated ginger
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce  
  • 400g noodles (optional)
Method:
  1. Place the chicken stock in a pot on medium heat. 
  2. Add the chopped carrots,ginger, chili, soy sauce and Worcestershire sauce to the stock.
  3. Allow the pot to simmer for ten minutes
  4. Now add the barley and chicken dumplings.
  5. Cook for a further ten minutes
  6. If you like, you may also add the noodles and cook for about 4 minutes before turning off the heat and serving.
