- 1.5 litres of chicken stock
- 50 grams pearl barley
- 12 chicken dumplings
- 2 large carrots
- 1 chopped chili pepper
- 1 tsp grated ginger
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 400g noodles (optional)
Method:
- Place the chicken stock in a pot on medium heat.
- Add the chopped carrots,ginger, chili, soy sauce and Worcestershire sauce to the stock.
- Allow the pot to simmer for ten minutes
- Now add the barley and chicken dumplings.
- Cook for a further ten minutes
- If you like, you may also add the noodles and cook for about 4 minutes before turning off the heat and serving.
